Best time to be there
March to May and September to November are best times to be in the country, but Jordan's Mediterranean climate is pleasant all year round. Lightweight clothes are advised between May and September. Warmer clothes are necessary for winter and cool summer evenings. Rainwear is needed from November to April. It has been known to snow as far south as Petra.

Jordan holidays with Abercrombie & Kent will take you to the heart of this fascinating country. Our specialist guides will explain how The Seven Pillars of Wisdom inspired T.E. Lawrence, show you the site where Jesus was baptised or take you in search of wildlife at the Dana Reserve.
Our experts make all the difference to your holiday in Jordan, illuminating this diverse country ensuring that you return with a greater insight and understanding of the region.
Full of amazing contrasts, stunning landscapes, unique flora and fauna and the tremendous hospitality of its people, it is easy to see why a Jordan holiday is so popular with our clients.
Jerash is one of the best kept secrets of Jordan travel. Just an hour from Amman, Jerash is one of the largest and best preserved Roman sites. To this day, its paved and colonnaded streets, hilltop temples and impressive theatres remain in exceptional condition.
From here journey south along the scenic King's Highway, visit the mosaics of Madaba and the impressive crusader castle of Karak. Spend time walking in the beautiful Dana Nature Reserve or, if the anticipation is too much, continue south to Petra. Although much has been written about Petra, nothing really prepares you for its size and beauty until you see it for yourself.
Jordan holidays are perfectly completed by exploring the desert of Wadi rum and the Seven Pillars, relaxing in one of the beach resorts on the Red Sea, or simply luxuriating at the Dead Sea and being pampered with soothing mudpacks and spa treatments.
