A night safari showcases the nocturnal species, hidden by day, such as the loveable bushbaby! It is also when carnivores go on the prowl in search of a meal (B,L,D).

Rattrays on Mala Mala
Rattray’s on Mala Mala offers a glimpse of an era long past when distant travellers to Africa married the magic of the wild with an elegance and refinement that have been immortalized in the epic tale of Karen Blixen in ‘Out of Africa’. The epitome of regal colonial safari-style, Rattray’s on Mala Mala bears the style of crystal and leather, with beautiful furnishings that are a treat to the connoisseur of the finer things in life. Each suite or khaya (Zulu for “home”) functions as an inclusive home, resplendent with hand-selected furnishings, lavish his-and-hers bathrooms, a secluded outdoor shower and a private heated plunge pool. However it is the incredible game viewing and the exclusivity of only 4 guests per safari vehicle which draws people back to this unique setting. Rattray’s is a feature of A&K’s Best of South Africa Platinum itinerary.
