Day 01 Cairo - Alexandria

Leave Cairo and the Nile behind as your guide travels with you for the 3 hour drive north-west to Alexandria on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon to see the important sites of this cosmopolitan city, including: the National Museum which houses an impressive collection of artefacts from ancient times to the modern era, Abu Abbas Masjid and a photo stop at the 15th century Qait Bay Fortress built on the foundations of the Pharos lighthouse.

Day 02 Alexandria

This morning visit the Roman amphitheatre, the impressive Library of Alexandria, said to built on the site of the city’s first library and the catacombs of Kum Shukafa. This afternoon is at leisure to explore at your own pace (B,L).

Day 03 Alexandria - Cairo

Leave Alexandria and travel west along the coast to El Alamein, scene of one of the decisive battles of World War II. Explore the Military Museum and war cemeteries. Return with your guide to Cairo where A&K arrangements end (B,L).
