Day 06 Dead Sea
A day to yourself at the Dead Sea, at 410m below sea level this is the lowest place on earth! For millennia people have been coming here drawn by the medicinal qualities of the mineral-laden waters and swimming here is a memorable experience with its queer sensation of weightlessness. A serene, beautiful place, the high levels of salt in the water keep the body afloat, whilst the variety of minerals including magnesium, sodium, potassium and bromine are believed to have health benefits (B).
