AKP Madrasati 'My School' Initiative
‘Madrasati’ – translating to “my school” – is an innovative venture in Jordan that brings together private, public and non-profit sectors to benefit public schools desperately in need of assistance. AKP has ‘adopted’ the Balquees School, located near the Citadel in Amman. With our support, AKP seeks to provide a vastly better learning environment for the children, to address urgently needed school infrastructure repairs, to improve school safety as well as aiming to provide the school with access to modern and top quality learning and teaching tools. Visiting guests are encouraged to interact with the children in-class or at play, inviting a cultural connection. Importantly, opportunity also to bring much-needed donations of books, schools supplies and sports equipment for the students.
