Day 1 Arrive Casablanca

A royal welcome to this imperial kingdom of North Africa with a VIP Meet & Greet at the airport followed by a private transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Casablanca – Meknes - Volubilis – Fes

This morning, explore Casablanca. Highlights include the fascinating Old Medina and Hassan II Mosque, a massive structure that can accommodate up to 25,000 worshippers. Continue to Meknes, one of the Imperial Cities of Morocco, where the impressive monuments reflect the splendour of this 17th century city. Visit Bab Mansour gateway and the Medrassa Bou Inania. Travel on to the Roman ruined city of Volubilis with its beautifully preserved mosaics dating back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD (B,L).

Day 3 Design Your Day Fes

With countless wonders in this beautiful medieval town, plot your day to suit. Choose one of the following activities: a sightseeing tour of the city including the Medina, the Karaouine Mosque, the walled town and the bustling souks; or travel beyond Fes into the countryside to the village of Bhalil where local resident Mohammed Chraibi will welcome you into his unique cave home. Tonight enjoy dinner in the magical riad of La Maison Bleue. (B,D).

Day 4 Fes – Rabat

Travel to Rabat, where you will explore the superbly-preserved relics of its Moorish past, including the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Kasbah des Oudaias (B).

Day 5 Rabat – Marrakech

Depart southward for Marrakech. Founded in 1062 by Youssef bin Tachfine of the Almoravid dynasty, and his son, the city was perfected with the help of architects and craftsmen from Cordoba. Palaces were built as well as baths, mosques and a subterranean water system. The city walls were raised from the red mud of the plains, with the snow-covered peaks of the High Atlas Mountains forming a backdrop for the city.  Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon (B).

Day 6 Marrakech

Explore the souks, bazaars, gardens and palaces of this fascinating city. Your morning historical tour of Marrakech will acquaint you with the city’s architectural attractions, including Medrassa Ben Youssef, one of the jewels of Marrakech, and the 11th-century Koubba Almoravid, one of the town’s first fountains. Make your way to the intriguing Souk Smarine (clothing souk) and the famous Djemaa el-Fna Square where you will see groups of acrobats, drummers, snake charmers and a whole festival of musicians and street entertainers. Continue to the palaces of Marrakech, including the Badii and Bahia Palaces (B).

Day 7 Design Your Day Marrakech

A day to explore and discover this colourful, vibrant and amazing imperial city. Choose one of the following activities: drive to the Berber village of Imlil and meet with your mountain guide and mule escorts for a day’s trekking in the Atlas Mountains; or, if food is your passion, unravel the secrets of fine Moroccan cuisine with a visit to a cooking school. Tonight is a fitting farewell to Morocco with dinner at the renowned ‘Yacout’ or Palais Soleyman restaurant (B,D).

Day 8 Depart Marrakech

Today your journey ends with a transfer to Marrakech airport (B).
