Extend your Imperial Cities itinerary with a 2 night desert extension
Day 1 Fes – Sahara Desert
Leave Fes and drive through the Saiss Valley into the High Atlas Mountains, passing mud-brick Berber villages before descending into Ziz Gorge and on to Erfoud. Continue by 4WD to the Sahara Desert and your desert camp nestled amongst the dunes (B,D).

Day 2 Sahara Desert - Ouarzazate
Drive to the spectacular Todra Gorge with its dramatic canyon walls. Cross the southern slopes of the High Atlas, passing through the Dades Valley before arriving in Ouarzazate, a town chiefly inhabited by Berbers, who constructed many of the prominent kasbahs and buildings for which the area is known. Ouarzazate is also the starting off point for excursions across the Draa Valley and nearby desert regions (B,L).

Day 3 Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Explore Ouarzazate, a major location for international films. Visit the Kasbahs of Taourirt and Tifoultout and the spectacular fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, a World Heritage site. Arrive Marrakech in the late afternoon (B,L).
