Day 1 Delhi – Shimla (2,100M)

Morning transfer to the Delhi Railway Station to board the Shatabdi Express for the journey north to Kalka. On arrival continue by narrow gauge toy train to Shimla arriving this evening. You are met and transferred to the hotel nearby (B).

Day 2 Shimla

Shimla is a beautiful hill town surrounded by pine and deodar forests. It was the summer capital of India under British rule and presently is the state capital of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla has seen many important historical events such as the famous Shimla Pact between India & Pakistan which was signed here. The place is also famous for its natural beauty, architectural buildings, wooden crafts and apples. This morning visit the Lakkar Bazaar popular for its woodcrafts, Jahku Hill (2,455m) and Lord Hanuman’s Temple at the summit and St. Michael’s Cathedral with its attractive dressed stone and stained glass. Your afternoon is at leisure (B).

Day 3 Shimla

Today is at leisure. Optional activities include mountain treks and biking, a round of golf, croquet, billiards, archery or an indulgent treatment at the hotel spa (B).

Day 4 Shimla – Delhi

Transfer to Chandigarh Airport for the flight* to Delhi (B).
