Day 01 Arrive Santiago
You are met inside the Arrivals Hall and transferred to the hotel. An afternoon introduction to the Chilean capital with your private guide.

Day 02 Santiago
This morning join Chilean master chef Enrique, as he tours the markets of his local barrio. Watch as he seeks out the freshest ingredients for his cooking demonstration. In his own home he shares the secrets of nouveau Chilean cuisine with you and over a pisco sour and some fine local wines you will enjoy the fruits of his labour. After lunch there is time to explore Los Dominicos handicraft market (B,L).

Day 03 Santiago – Puerto Varas
A flight south to Puerto Montt in the heart of the Chilean Lake District. After settling into your country house hotel see the highlights of the city including the market of Angelmo (B,L,D).

Day 04 Design Your Day Lakes District
From your base at Puerto Varas the day is yours to plan. Choose one of the following included excursions. A visit to the Ancud penguin colony and fishing villages of Lake Llanquihue. Or a visit to the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park, Chile’s oldest, with a range of hikes available to suit all abilities. Or a river rafting expedition (B,L,D).

Day 05 Puerto Varas – Torres del Paine
Fly to Punta Arenas in the far south of the country where a six hour drive across dramatic windswept plains lands you in the heart of spectacular Torres del Paine National Park at the beautiful explora lodge (B,L,D).

Days 06 – 08 Design Your Days Torres del Paine
Adventure aplenty! For the next three days, choose from five adventure activities, each day accompanied by English speaking guides. You can drive to Lago Grey for a walk to Lagoon Beach and spectacular photographic opportunities, take a full day’s horseriding through the park with a picnic lunch or a wildlife outing and traditional BBQ to see guanacos, condors, foxes, geese and more. Consult with your guides on how to best enjoy this remote and exhilarating wilderness area (B,L,D).

Day 09 Torres del Paine – Santiago
Leave Torres Del Paine for the long return by road and air to Santiago. Access to the VIP lounge in Santiago airport is included before onward flight connections (B).
Visit one of the most dramatic destinations on earth or delve into relics of an ancient culture with one of A&K's extensions to the Atacama Desert or Easter Island.

Taste of Santiago
Experience Santiago from a culinary perspective. Join acclaimed chef Enrique and his wife Sophie on a visit to their local market. Stroll past colourful stalls as Enrique sources fresh, beautiful produce. The couple welcomes guests into their home for a pisco sour and aperitifs before a hands-on cooking demonstration begins. Taste the end result over a meal with new friends and take home as a memento recipes from today’s lunch.

Riding through spectacular Torres del Paine
Saddle up for a full days ride in the heart of the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park. Pick your way along narrow forest trails, past lakes and across vast open prairie land. The views will leave you breathless and your exhilarating day finishes with a local gaucho ritual – drink from the shared silver cup of mate until your thirst is quenched.
