Day 1 Arrive Santiago - Atacama Desert (2,500m)

You are met inside the Arrivals Hall and assisted with connecting flight* north to Calama. You are met and transferred to San Pedro de Atacama and your lodge (D).

Days 2 – 3 Atacama Desert

The Atacama Desert is the driest on earth, a place of dramatic and breathtaking scenery, a lunar landscape. Mountains and volcanoes, tussock grass parched red earth – it is raw and majestic, an adventure waiting to happen. Each day your guides will recommend outings to suit your specific interests and requirements. Choose between: 4WD trips; hiking; mountain biking; thermal springs and geysers; star gazing; horse riding or cultural visits – all operated on a private basis (B,L,D).

Day 4 Atacama – Santiago

Return flight* to the capital where you are met and transferred to the hotel. Design your afternoon, choosing between an afternoon introduction to the Chilean capital with your private guide including a visit to Los Dominicos handicraft market or a bicycle tour of Old Santiago (B).

Day 5 Santiago

This morning you are accompanied into the Maipo Valley where you visit Almaviva vineyard, a joint venture conceived and managed in the style of a French chateau. Tour the facility and enjoy a wine tasting before returning to Santiago for a market visit, cooking demonstration and a late lunch (B,L).

Day 6 Santiago – Patagonia

Fly* to Punta Arenas in the far south of the country. For the next three days there’s an choice of adventure activities to choose from accompanied by expert English speaking guides. There are many spectacular hikes, horse riding options, picnic lunches or wildlife outings and a traditional BBQ to see guanacos, condors, foxes, geese and more. Expert guides will brief you on how to best enjoy this exhilarating area (B,L,D).
Explora Patagonia (Cordillera Paine Room)

Days 7 – 9 Patagonia

Adventure aplenty! For the next three days, choose from a huge range of adventure activities, each day accompanied by English speaking guides (B,L,D).

Day 10 Patagonia – Santiago

Return by road to Punta Arenas for the flight* back to Santiago where you have VIP lounge access awaiting onward connections (B).

Leaving your hotel, first stop is a traditional street market, to source and purchase the finest seasonal ingredients. Maria Jose welcomes you into her home where you observe the culinary techniques she uses in her preparation and join in if you wish. The experience culminates in a delicious lunch with Maria Jose, savouring the finished product in homely surrounds.
