Day 1 Auckland – Napier – Hawkes Bay
Fly from Auckland to Napier on the east coast. Collect your vehicle and continue to the picturesque Hawkes Bay. This evening settle into your surrounds as you dine on the finest local cuisine. Day 2 Hawkes Bay
Step back in time to an era of glitz and glamour. You are transported in a 1934 Buick with a local guide as you delve into the Art Deco legacy left to Napier when it was rebuilt following the devastating 1931 earthquake. Take in the city, Napier Hill and Marine Parade as well as the homes and gardens of Napier’s Art Deco suburb, Marewa. You will have time this afternoon to further explore the area or visit a nearby winery in this world renowned region. (B,D).

Day 3 Hawkes Bay
Become absorbed into the vibrant world of Hawkes Bay on a full day tour with a local wine expert. Talk with personalities who are passionate about crafting premium quality wines as you visit some of the region’s best vineyards and taste their award-winning wines. (B,L,D).

Day 4 Napier – Auckland
Enjoy a safari to the world’s largest landbased Gannet Colony before dropping your vehicle at Napier Airport. Visitors to the colony will see adults and young nesting in serried rows carrying out their daily routine. In the air, these amazing birds with their six foot wing span will swoop and dive as they bring back fish. On the ground, just a few feet away, the pairs preen and perform the dance of the gannets’ recognition ritual. (B,L).

Hawkes Bay Farmer's Market
When passing through on a Sunday, visit the Farmer’s Market at the Hawkes Bay Showgrounds. Wander at leisure, listening to local music and discovering the diverse range of local products. From hand-made cheeses, bread, ice-cream, chocolates and meat products to seasonal fruits, vegetables and seafood. Enjoy coffee prepared with freshly roasted beans whilst sampling delicious foods.
