Swimming with Whale Sharks
The Whale Shark is the largest member of the shark family, the largest fish in the world and suprisingly, a harmless plankton eater! Reported to reach 18 metres in length, it is easily identified by its pattern of white spots. Thought to mainly inhabit worldwide temperate and tropical seas, it is rarely seen in shallow coastal watersw, but is a daily visitor to the Ningaloo Reef between late March to July. Up to 12 Whale Sharks have been spotted close to the reef feeding. (Operates March - July)
