Day 01 Adelaide – Barossa Valley – Portee Station
Meet your A&K guide and transfer north to the picturesque Barossa Valley. The Barossa is Australia's richest and best known viticultural and wine making region. Visit the famous Penfolds winery, with its highly collected label, Grange Hermitage. Tour the winery and cellars before entering the Winemaker's Laboratory, lab coat inclusive, to try your hand at making your own wine! Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to your accommodation (L,D).

Day 02 Portee Station – Flinders Ranges
This morning learn about the wool industry and the history of Portee Station from your host, Pat Kent. Depart for the Flinders Ranges through tree-lined gorges, rolling plains, native wildlife and rich colour that marks this stunning land. Arrive at your luxury eco-villa, Rawnsley Park Station, a working sheep station located in the Flinders Ranges. This is a unique accommodation experience and thus the remainder of the day is at leisure to explore your lodgings (B,L,D).

Day 03 Flinders Ranges – Clare Valley – Jamestown
After breakfast, enjoy a private 4WD tour of the Flinders Ranges through the spectacular Gorges, discovering Ediacaran fossils embedded in the rock. This afternoon, arrive to a warm welcome at North Bundaleer, one of the last grand pastoral homesteads built in South Australia. Enjoy the convivial atmosphere in the large dining room, the elegantly appointed drawing room or the comfortable library with its eclectic selection of books (B,L,D).

Day 04 Jamestown – Adelaide
Depart Jamestown and travel to Sevenhill Cellars. Known to be the oldest vineyard in the Clare Valley, the winery was established by a party of Austrian Jesuits in 1851 to produce altar wine for the young colony of Sevenhill. A diverse range of wines is still produced each vintage of which you are able to sample. Continue to Adelaide to catch your flight to Kangaroo Island (B,L,D).

DAY 05 Kangaroo Island
Meet your naturalist guide and enjoy a private 4WD tour to view some of the islands 1.3 million sheep. Walking quietly through the bush you will be looking out for native wildlife. Enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch served with fine South Australian wines before heading to Seal Bay Conservation Park. Walk among the sea lions, watch them play in the surf, see old bulls bearing the scars of territorial disputes and learn of their unique breeding biology. This afternoon is spent exploring the south east region of the Island (B,L,D).

Day 06 Kangaroo Island
Explore the wild beauty of Flinders Chase National Park by 4WD with your naturalist guide. This extensive reserve encompasses most of the western end of Kangaroo Island and protects the pristine natural vegetation, rivers and secluded beaches overlooking the rugged coastline of the wild Southern Ocean. It is likely you will encounter some of the Island's kangaroo population as well as possibly spottingkoalas, fur seals, echidnas and the duckbilled platypus throughout your visit. Upon conclusion of your tour, it is time to catch your flight back to Adelaide (B,L).

Make Your Own Blend
The first of its kind in the Barossa, the 'Make Your Own Blend' tour is a fascinating and interactive wine experience for anyone who has dreamed of being a winemaker for a day! After a behind the scenes tour of the winery and cellars, guests are invited into the Winemaker's Laboratory to don a lab coat and try their hand at blending their own wine from Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre; the same components used to accomplish Penfold's renowned Bin 138. Blend the flavours to suit your personal palate and take your wine home to enjoy!

Kangaroo Island Organic Honey
The pristine environment of Kangaroo Island is home to a flourishing boutique food industry. In addition to regional cheese and yoghurts, native jams and abundant fresh seafood, Kangaroo Island's apiarists harvest honey from the pure strain Ligurian bees. In order to protect their purity Kangaroo Island was declared a sanctuary for this docile bee in 1885. Taste organic honey and learn more about the bee life cycle at one of the small factories on this unique island.
