Phnom Penh 1
Siem Reap 3

Day 1 Phnom Penh

A private A&K welcome awaits your arrival and the afternoon is spent touring the Cambodian capital with visits to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda and the National Museum which houses the world’s foremost collection of ancient Khmer artefacts.
Raffles Hotel Le Royal (Landmark Room)

Day 2 Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

More to see this morning with a stop at the Russian Market, Wat Phnom and Tuol Sleng genocide museum for a confronting but meaningful insight into the horrors of the Pol Pot era. A&K also takes you to visit the Sunrise Children’s village before a short flight* north to Siem Reap (B,L).
La Residence d’Angkor (Royal Deluxe Room – Poolside)

Day 3 Siem Reap

Discover the delights of Siem Reap and its famous temples. Your A&K guide accompanies you around the important sites which make up the World Heritage listed Angkor complex. Explore the principal monuments of the ancient Angkor kingdom including the fortified royal city of Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple, the Elephant and Leper King Terraces, the magnificent temple of Angkor Wat and a boat trip on Tonle Sap lake with a visit to the AKP supported Sam’s Wells project (B,L).
La Residence d’Angkor (Royal Deluxe Room – Poolside)

Day 4 Design your day Siem Riep

An exciting day ahead to explore as you see fit. Early risers may be inspired to take an early morning visit to a Buddhist monastery to meet with the monks and offer alms, this is entirely optional. Choose from three other options: a visit to the beautiful temple of Banteay Srei, a jewel in pink sandstone, the heavier styled Banteay Samre, the temple of ‘the sacred sword’ Preah Kahn and the jungle clad Ta Prohm; or head out to the Rolous Group of temples which date from the late 9th century. This is the earliest site of the 600 year Angkor period that is open to visitors and takes a whole day culminating in sunset at Angkor Wat; finally there’s a day trip to the 12th century Beng Melea, Cambodia’s second largest temple built in the style of Angkor Wat and still largely cloaked in vegetation appearing much as it would have done when early French explorers stumbled upon it (B,L).
La Residence d’Angkor (Royal Deluxe Room – Poolside)

Day 5 Depart Siem Riep

Your stay in Cambodia finishes at the airport (B).

A&K

Help AKP support the building of village wells

During a visit to Tonle Sap Lake at Siem Reap, accompany your A&K guide to a local village for an unforgettable experience with the rural community here where AKP support has been changing lives in recent years. With a commitment to improving the standard of living in the area, AKP has facilitated the building of wells to provide fresh water, a basic humanitarian necessity that the Cambodian government is currently unable to deliver to all countryside villages. Through the kind and generous donations of A&K guests some 30 villages now have access to fresh water.
Be welcomed by the villagers with friendly smiles and gain an understanding of their lives and a vastly different existence.
