Day 2 Marauk Oo
This morning sightseeing includes Htutkanthein and Andaw Tehin pagoda and Shittaung Temple (the Temple of 80,000 images) built by King Min Ba Gree in 1533. Enjoy a brief visit to Thet village, home to people of the rohinga tribe (ethnic Bangladeshis). In the afternoon visit the informative and well planned Mrauk Oo Museum. You will then climb the Haritaung Pagoda for a breathtaking view of the surrounds of Mrauk Oo at sunset. The rolling Hills, medieval pagodas and simple village life present the perfect panorama of rural Burmese life (B,L).

Day 3 Marauk Oo
Time to explore Mrauk Oo Market this morning before being driven to Nam Kya village for a private boat trip on the Lemro River to the Chin Hills. Witness traditional river life Burmese style as you pass many riverside villages. Stop en route for a picnic lunch by the river before entering the wonderful jungle-clad Chin Hills which rise from the river bank. Arrive at the village of Sin Ge where there is time to wander around and see some of the few remaining Chin Ladies with their traditionally tattooed faces. This is a dying custom as young girls choose not to tattoo their faces. Walk through the jungle to the villages of Kyee Chaung and Kone Chaung for some tea before heading back to the boat for the return journey. Expect good sunset photo opportunities as you pass the Laungret Taung Maw ridge (former capital of the Arakan state before Mrauk U) (B,L).

Day 4 Marauk Oo - Yangon
After breakfast, proceed to the jetty and board your private boat for the journey back to Sittwe. Sit back in comfortable deck chairs and once again take in life on the river as you cruise down the Kaladan River. Read your book, snooze or simply observe the slow and melodic way of life seldom seen anywhere in the world. Lunch at a local restaurant in Sittwe before a transfer to the airport and return flight to the capital where arrangements end (B,L).
