Day 1 - Moscow - Suzdal
Venture into the countryside to Sergiev Posad to visit the Trinity Monastery of St. Sergius, one of Russian's most important religious centres and a place of pilgrimage. See the fine domed Assumption Cathedral and its vast collection of paintings and frescoes. Continue to Suzdal.

Day 2 - Suzdal
This morning drive around this picturesque city visiting its most important architectural highlights. Visit a typical Russian country house where your hosts treat you to a traditional home cooked lunch. The afternoon is at leisure (B,L).

Day 3 - Suzdal - St Petersburg
This morning drive to Vladimir, founded in the 12th century as a fort. The most significant building of his reign is the stunning 12th century Cathedral of the Assumption where you will see the great frescoes by Andrei Rubylov. You may also like to visit the Museum of Cut Glass and Lacquered Miniatures and Golden Gates. After lunch proceed to Bogolubovo to admire Church of Nerli before being transferred to the station for the high speed train to St. Petersburg. Arrive late evening and transfer to your hotel (B,L).
