The main area of the camp consists of a lounge and dining area on a raised deck with superb views over the floodplain. There is a pool to relax by in the heat of the day. All of the tented rooms are linked to the main area by elevated walkways, each room has been decorated individually and are very comfortable all en-suite with indoor and outdoor shower.
Leopards are often seen near Chitabe Camp due to the high numbers of impala in the vicinity. Also encountered are buffalo, elephant, lion and occasional sightings of wild dog, the Botswana Wild Dog Research Project is based from Chitabe. Night drives also provide opportunities for guests to see nocturnal mammals such as civet, serval, genet, porcupine and aardwolf.
