Mexico

Experience colourful culture, divine cuisine, and colonial delights on your luxury holiday to Mexico.

Family is something held sacred in Mexican culture. It’s no surprise, then, that locals make every effort to create inviting, unique experiences for visitors and guests. From the moment you step off the plane until your very last goodbye, you will feel part of a community of friendly, vibrant, and welcoming people.

Travellers are compelled by Mexico’s spectacular Mayan ruins and relics, its colourful festivities and, of course, its many mouth-watering dishes. Whether you are marveling over Chichén Itza--the best restored and most famous of the Mayan ceremonial centres--or trying your hand at tortilla making in a bustling Oaxaca mercado, every experience is a treat for your senses.

Abercrombie & Kent has been offering pioneering luxury journeys in Mexico for more than three decades. Trust our team to build an itinerary specific to your needs and interests. With us, you’ll enjoy private guided tours, live-like-a-local experiences, and splashes of luxury that, together, make for a trip of a lifetime.

Best time to travel to Mexico

Travel between the months of October and April to avoid Mexico’s rainy season. Many travellers also coordinate their visit around the country’s many fairs and festivals. Take in pre-Lenten celebrations at the Veracruz Carnaval in February, or experience the iconic Day of the Dead in November.

Award-winning luxury holidays in Mexico

Whether you are traveling alone, with a loved one, or in a small group, our Mexican tours are fully customisable to suit your travelling style. We pull out all the stops for your holiday, from commissioning private charter planes and one-on-one cooking lessons to romantic sundowner cruises along the Yucatan Peninsula.

Your dedicated Abercrombie & Kent guide will tour you through Mexico’s many treasures. Together you’ll explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Puebla and sample its famously delicious mole sauce, set off on an early morning hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacan, and visit the iconic Pyramids of the Sun and Moon.

In addition to the bustling cosmopolitan centres of Mexico City, Oaxaca, and Guadalajara, you’ll also take in Mexico’s natural beauty as you explore the great outdoors. Guided tours of the jungles of Chiapas, pre-Columbian archaeological ruins, and the Celestun Reserve--home to a permanent colony of pink flamingos--are but of a few of the uniquely Mexican experiences you and your travel mates will enjoy when you book your luxury holiday with A&K.

Luxury beach resorts and impressive haciendas await

At A&K, our safety and operational standards are uncompromising. We carefully evaluate accommodation options and select only those that offer guests the utmost in luxury, comfort, and security.

In Mexico City, you’ll enjoy a great night’s sleep at the palatial Los Alcobas hotel. To elevate your experience, guests are assigned a personal butler for the duration of their stay. Your butler will help you make the most of the property’s state-of-the-art amenities and service offerings.

Tucked into the hillside of central Mexico is luxury boutique hotel Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. Its hand-carved furniture, rich colours, and beautifully appointed colonial suites pay homage to Mexico’s oldest--and one of its most charming--towns. Before retiring to your room, sample tapas al fresco out on the property’s magical rooftop bar, or sneak away to the hotel’s spa for an aromatherapy massage.
