Full of colour, culture, fascinating sights and boasting some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Mexico is a magical destination. A&K’s representative office in Mexico has 30 years’ experience showing discerning guests around the archaeological highlights of Mayan ruins such as Chichen Itza and Uxmal, the colonial delights of Morelia, San Miguel de Allende and charming Guadalajara with its beautiful plazas, pastel-coloured buildings and cobble-stoned streets. From luxury beach resorts, private villages, charter planes or yachts, A&K can customise an itinerary to suit your interests. While sharing the unique, authentic and unexpected travel experiences that Mexico has to offer is the main priority, A&K’s safety and operational standards are uncompromising as is the commitment to the environmental and cultural integrity of the country.

Visit the amazing Museo Nacional de Antropologia in Mexico City for its modern architecture and extraordinary pre-Columbian treasures. Relax on the glorious beaches of Baja California. Be serenaded by Mariachi. Shop for black ceramics, embroidered textiles and wood carvings at the colourful Saturday Mercado de Abastas in Oaxaca, the biggest Indian craft market in Mexico. Take a private cooking lesson in Mexican cuisine. Trek in the jungles of Chiapas. Don’t miss the Yucatan Peninsula for its spectacular pre-Columbian archaeological ruins. Relax in a beautifully restored hacienda originally built by sisal barons. Be surrounded by Monarch butterflies in Michoacan. Visit the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. See Frida Kahlo’s famous blue house in Mexico City and revolutionary murals painted by her husband Diego Rivera in the Palacio Nacional.

February: The pre-Lenten celebrations at the Veracruz Carnaval are considered the wildest north of Rio. April-May: The San Marcos National Fair has everything from music and plays to bullfights and parades. July: The colourful Guelaguetza features fireworks, traditional dancing and festivities. Weatherwise: October to April is best. The rainy season works its way from the south beginning in May and running until September. Avoid the hurricane season from July to October.
