Day 2: El Fuerte – Bahuichivo.

Winding through the Copper Canyon is one of the most remarkable railways in the world: the famed Chihuahua al Pacífico. Private transfer early this morning to the train station for the start of an incredible journey. Board the world-famous train, also known as El Chepe, and marvel at this feat of engineering. This comfortable, first-class “train in the sky” soars through dozens of tunnels and over countless bridges, hugs cliff edges and descends into deep ravines. Emerald hills and slate-blue lakes slowly give way to red canyon walls as the train takes you deeper into the Sierra Madres Mountains. Stop at Bacajipare, offering panoramic views to the union of the Copper Canyon, Canyon Tararecua and Urique Canyon. Your visit to the area also includes the chance to head to one of two “miradores” or lookout points (The Table of the Stars or the Table of the Heavens) to gaze out over the vast landscape.
