Journey Itinerary

Day 1: Jaipur - Ranthambore National Park

Farewell the Pink City and journey by road to a true jewel of Rajasthan, Ranthambore National Park, the former hunting reserve of the royal family. Today, it is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in India to witness these majestic predators in the wild. Other wildlife wonders include various species of birds, wild cats, antelopes, and wild boars. Surrounded by two iconic hill ranges, Ranthambore is a paradise for enthusiasts from all over the world.

On arrival, enjoy lunch before setting out on an exciting game drive in a 4x4 jeep. Accompanied by a local naturalist you will explore various parts of the park in search of the elusive Bengal Tiger. Return to your lodge and enjoy an engaging lecture on conservation efforts being made to protect the tigers and other significant wildlife followed by dinner.

Day 2: Ranthambore National Park

Rise early and head out on a morning game drive timed to give you the optimal viewing opportunity of big cats on the prowl amid Ranthambore's lakes, forests and ruined fort. There’s a wealth of wildlife to spot: keep your camera handy for leopard, deer, wild boar, striped hyena, a variety of monkeys, and sloth bears, not to mention an orchestra of birdlife. Return to your accommodation and immerse yourself in the luxury of this former hunting lodge. Explore the extensive grounds, unwind in the bar or soak in the beautiful outdoor pool.

Later visit Dastkar, an initiative established to resettle communities affected by the creation of the National Park. Learn about the work being done to empower the local women through the revival of local crafts that include patchwork, block printing and recycled fabric craft. Appreciate the distinctive use of the tiger motif, trees and other animal imagery throughout demonstrating the communities concern for wildlife. Return to the lodge where the remainder of the day is at leisure.
