Journey Itinerary

May 2: Arrive Perth

Upon arrival into Perth Airport, you will be met by your Abercrombie and Kent guide and transferred by private vehicle to your accommodation, where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Explore Perth or relax by the hotel pool. Rooms are available for check-in from 14:00.

A welcome dinner with drinks is included at one of the hotel restaurants.

Embrace 5-star luxury hotel and signature service in Perth and take in scenic vistas of Perth’s famous Swan River. This luxury 5-star hotel will offer a refreshing and revitalising experience.

The property is a very short distance away from the river and a short walk from the city’s main retail, dining and entertainment precincts, Westin Perth provides the perfect location for a relaxing and indulgent stay.

May 3: Perth - Margaret River

After a leisurely breakfast, meet your Abercrombie and Kent driver/guide and drive towards the Margaret River, Western Australia’s famous wine region. A stop will be made in Busselton, a city on the southwest tip of Western Australia. Known for a sheltered beach and seasonal humpback whale populations. The beachfront features the 19th-century Busselton Jetty. Spend some time exploring the pier and the town of Busselton.

Lunch today is served at Vasse Felix Restaurant, which offers a beautiful setting to indulge in regional flavours, textures and creative cuisine to complement the Wine Collection. Immerse yourself in the history of Margaret River’s founding wine estate. Explore The Vault, home to the Estate’s museum and historic wine collection, before joining your host for a private tasting in the Cellar Door.

Your experience continues upstairs in the awardwinning Vasse Felix restaurant with lunch on the Chef’s High Tables. Enjoy your choice of three courses from the a la carte menu showcasing local produce, paired with wines while watching the Chefs in action through the kitchen pass. 

After lunch, continue north to one of the many amazing cave systems in the area. Ngilgi Cave is an amazing Karst cave system with the most beautiful array of varied crystal formations including shawls and helictites. The semi-guided tour gives you basic knowledge and cave history from the expert and friendly guide plus personal exploration time. Photography is encouraged, so bring your camera and get some rewarding shots. 

On conclusion, travel to your accommodation for the next two nights.

May 4: Margaret River

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before exploring World-class vineyards and wineries which will tantalise taste buds like nowhere else. Responsible for only 1% of Australia's wine production, that small amount contributes 20% to the finest quality wines in Australia. Visit various boutique and internationally acclaimed wineries to sample wine and cheese. 

Lunch today is at Leeuwin Estate. Celebrating the art of living well, the Leeuwin Restaurant combines fine wine and food in a picturesque setting. Sweeping verandas, bi-fold doors and domed skylights allow Leeuwin's Restaurant to bask in the tranquillity and beauty of its superb setting, overlooking a meadow surrounded by a forest of majestic karri trees. 

In the afternoon, visit a range of establishments choosing from many of the finest Boutique vineyards and food outlets such as Thompson Estate with a chocolate tasting to complete your day.

May 5: Margaret River

After a leisurely breakfast, meet your Abercrombie & Kent driver/guide for your journey back to Perth via Fremantle. The city of Fremantle is famous for its wonderful beaches, as well as its well-preserved colonial architecture. Enjoy a tour of Fremantle and lunch at a local brewery before returning to nearby Perth stopping along the way at Cottesole beach. Cottesloe is one of Perth's most popular beaches. Its crystal-clear waters, regular swell and fun atmosphere make it popular with swimmers, body boarders and surfers alike. 

Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner in one of the hotels’ restaurants.

May 6: Perth - Broome

After breakfast, check out and meet your Abercrombie and Kent driver for the transfer to the airport for your flight.
