Journey Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Santiago - Colchagua Valley.

Begin with a journey by vehicle from  Santiago and venture into the mountain-rimmed vineyards of Colchagua Valley and discover firsthand why this unspoiled terroir produces Chile’s best wines. Ease into your journey with a visit to the prestigious Grandes Vinos de San Pedro Winery. Stroll through the vines and learn the secrets of a winning vintage straight from the masters, before tasting some of their finest. Continue to Lapostolle vineyard and find your lodge nestled in the serene forested hillside of the Apalta Valley.

Day 2: Colchagua Valley.

Discover the heart of Chile’s thriving viticulture at Lapostolle, home to the famous Marnier Lapostolle family. Descend into the secret cellar and discover world-renowned wines that beg to be tasted. Later, step inside the barrel room of Viña Montes, a place overflowing with character and fantastic wines. Spend the afternoon sampling wines with stunning views of the rolling vines. Return to your lodge to take your place on the terrace and enjoy precious hours of quietude soaking in the vine-ruffled hills.

Day 3: Colchagua Valley – Valparaiso.

Immerse yourself in Chilean culture at the Colchagua museum before heading to the port city of Valparaiso. Known as the “Jewel of the Pacific,” this UNESCO World Heritage city has unique architectural charm. Built up onto steep seaside hills, you may like to stretch your legs exploring its cobblestone alleys while popping between galleries, hidden boutiques and pisco bars.

Day 4: Valparaiso – Depart Santiago.

Discover a port town oozing with culture, nestled between the mountains and the sea. Step aboard gravity-defying funicular railways to explore the labyrinth of fifty colourful hills that earned a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list. On your walking tour, spend time admiring the vibrant street art and continue your education on Chile’s Nobel-Prize-winning poet, Pablo Neruda, at his residence ‘La Sebastiana’. Overlooking the city and the Pacific, this house will let you in on the poet’s secrets and inspirations. Choose to halt for lunch at any of the restaurants offering arguably the best seafood on the Pacific before returning to Santiago where your journey ends.
