End your journey in Cape Town and the famous Cape Winelands.

Journey Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg.

A warm A&K welcome to South Africa and assistance to your airport hotel.

Day 2: Johannesburg - Madikwe Game Reserve.

This morning, fly to the 75,000 hectare malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. Home to all the major animal species, including lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, white and black rhino along with almost all the plains antelope species, a safari at Madikwe promises a multitude of wildlife sightings. This afternoon head out on a game drive.

Days 3-4: Madikwe Game Reserve.

The following two days will be spent on safari in Madikwe with morning and late afternoon game drives.

Day 5: Madikwe Game Reserve - Sabi Sand Game Reserve

Fly via Johannesburg to the Sabi Sabi airstrip with an onward transfer to Sabi Sabi Selati Camp, an intimate all-suite retreat perfectly positioned for exploring the Sabi Sands.

Days 6-7: Sabi Sand Game Reserve.

The Sabi Sand Game Reserve is renowned for its exceptional opportunities of seeing Africa’s iconic species (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant) as well as cheetah, wild dog, hippo, crocodile an abundance of general game and over 400 bird species. Spend two days enjoying exceptional game viewing with experiences tailored to your individual interests and expectations. In addition to morning and afternoon game drives, optional game walks are also on offer.

Day 8: Sabi Sand Game Reserve – Johannesburg.

Drive to Skukuza for your flight to Johannesburg where you are met and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 9: Johannesburg – Pretoria.

Morning visit to the Apartheid Museum followed by lunch. Transfer by road to Pretoria to board The Blue Train, widely regarded as one of the world’s most luxurious. The Train departs Pretoria Station around 2:00pm bound for Cape Town. Enjoy an elegant dinner onboard.

Day 10: Onboard

Stop in Kimberley this morning for an excursion to the Kimberley Open Mine Museum. Continue the journey to Cape Town.

Day 11: Cape Town.

A leisurely day as the train continues its journey south arriving into Cape Town Station at approximately 12:00pm. You are met and transferred to the Belmond Mount Nelson located at the foot of iconic Table Mountain. Ascend by aerial cableway up Table Mountain (weather permitting) for panoramic views of the city and coastline.

Day 12: Cape Town.

Venture south for a full day exploration of the beautiful and dramatic Cape Peninsula and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where you can climb the steps or ride a funicular railway to the top. Also visit Boulders, a sheltered beach famous for its colony of endangered Jackass Penguins.

Day 13: Cape Town.

Enjoy time at your leisure to explore more of Cape Town at your own pace.

Day 14: Cape Town - Cape Winelands

Transfer to the famous Cape Winelands, where picturesque vineyards are set against imposing granite peaks. After settling into your luxury accommodation in Franschhoek, visit privately owned wineries, some dating back hundreds of years and enjoy a variety of tastings.

Day 15: Cape Winelands.

Enjoy time at your leisure to explore more the Cape Winelands at your own pace.
