Day 3: Chobe National Park.

Rise early for a morning game drive traversing the park’s diverse landscapes, getting up close to elephants, hippo, buffalo, puku and other species that gather on the banks of the Chobe River. Lion and leopard are also found in the area. This afternoon take a boat safari on the river watching elephants as they come down to drink and bathe, hippos grazing and wallowing and the odd Nile crocodile basking on the banks. Days 5–6: Okavango Delta.

The next two days are yours to discover the pristine beauty of the Okavango Delta and its extraordinary wildlife.  Each day enjoy two of the following activities: A morning or afternoon game drive on the grassy plains to observe buffalo, elephant, giraffe and maybe even lion, leopard and cheetah; or take to the waterways and experience the solitude of the delta by mokoro as your safari guide gently poles you through the channels (seasonal); or take a guided safari walk to learn why even the most miniscule things in nature are still significant.

Day 7: Okavango Delta.

Today you will depart by scenic helicopter flight to your next camp. On the way, land on a deserted palm island where a glass of champagne quenches your thirst and your pilot shares further insight on the area. Take to the skies again, enjoying the breathtaking aerial perspective en route to Sanctuary Chief’s Camp, in the world renowned Mombo Concession, Africa’s “predator capital”.

Intimate and exclusive, Sanctuary Chief’s Camp is set in an outstanding natural landscape. Thanks to soul-stirring perspectives from the sophisticated private pavilions, the lounge deck and your dining table, you won’t ever miss the thrill of a sighting. This area offers some of the most exciting game viewing in Africa, and is one of the best places in Botswana to see all of Africa’s iconic species drawn here from surrounding regions by the lush delta. Predators include leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena and, at the very top of the food chain, large resident prides of lion.
