Journey Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Perth.

Board the Indian Pacific for an unforgettable journey from west to east. First stop this evening is Kalgoorlie-Boulder, home to the staggering 3.6km wide Super Pit – an open-cut gold mine that’s yielded riches since 1989. Dining on board is a highlight and you’ll soon discover why it is rated one of the “top 100 Australian culinary experiences”.

Day 2: The Nullarbor.

Set your sights on the sweeping Nullarbor Plain. Ride the longest stretch of dead-straight rail track in the world and breathe in the endless blue skies and flat terrain. A short stop in Cook (population four) will imbue a sense of the region’s intense remoteness.

Day 3: Adelaide & Broken Hill.

Wake up to the rolling pastures of South Australia. Pause awhile to explore Adelaide. Back on the train, watch as rolling pastures dissolve into mallee scrub and rich red earth. Enjoy a stop at Broken Hill and discover why this ‘Silver City’ is one of Australia’s legendary Outback towns.

Day 4: Sydney.

Wind your way through the Great Dividing Range and magnificent Blue Mountains. Farewell the Indian Pacific Railway in Sydney and transfer to your accommodation.

Day 5: Sydney – Wolgan Valley.

Self drive to your ultra-luxe resort in the World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains, just three hours from Sydney. In this magnificent landscape, discover Australian bush luxury at its finest from your private free-standing villa with pool.

Day 6: Wolgan Valley.

Day 7: Depart Wolgan Valley.

Return to Sydney.
