Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg, South Africa.

Days 2: Johannesburg - Okavango Delta, Botswana

Fly to Maun and into the magical Okavango Delta by light aircraft to Sanctuary Chief’s Camp, located in a private concession within the world renowned Moremi Game Reserve, Africa’s “predator capital”. Intimate and exclusive, the camp is set in an outstanding natural landscape. Thanks to soul-stirring perspectives from the sophisticated, private pavilions, the lounge deck and your dining

Days 3-4: Okavango Delta

Explore the Delta, experiencing the exceptional wildlife by 4WD with an expert safari guide or a mokoro ride through the waterways (seasonal and subject to water levels). There are good opportunities to see rhino, leopard, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, zebra, antelope – and for the keen birder, a wonderful variety of avian species. Back in camp, relax by your plunge pool, indulge in a safari spa treatment or simply soak up the views from your deck or from the bar.

Day 5: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

A light aircraft flight to Kasane, and on by road to your lodge located in an idyllic location on the banks of the Zambezi River 40 kilometres from Victoria Falls.

Day 6-7: Victoria Falls

Spend your days exploring the Matetsi Game Reserve on foot, by vehicle and by boat in awe of the great herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game which are resident here. Visit the extraordinary Victoria Falls and enjoy high tea at the grand Victoria Falls Hotel. Matetsi River Lodge (Suite) | BLD

Day 8: Victoria Falls - Windhoek, Namibia

Arrive into the Namibian capital where you are met and transferred to your charming boutique hotel.

Day 9: Sossusvlei

Board a light aircraft flight for the journey south into the private 37,000 hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve – the gateway to Namibia’s Sand Sea with its towering dunes. See desert-adapted wildlife such as ostrich, springbok and gemsbok. Smaller creatures such as bat-eared fox and aardwolf can be seen at night. Your base is a luxurious desert retreat whose thatched ‘kulalas’ merge seamlessly into the landscape.

Day 10: Sossusvlei

Activities at Little Kulala include morning guided drives to the spectacular dunes of Sossusvlei, among the highest in the world, a visit to Sesriem Canyon, as well as walks and game drives in this pristine private wilderness reserve with incredible views, desert-adapted wildlife and plants.

Days 11: Sissysvkei - Skeleton Coast

Take a breathtaking flight from Sossusvlei to the remote Skeleton Coast, an area known for its haunting, raw beauty. The vast wilderness, shipwrecks and bleached whale skeletons make for an evocative and unforgettable experience – and a photographers dream destination.

Days 12-13: Skeleton Coast

Spend two days exploring this extraordinary landscape, including game drives in search of desert-adapted animals including elephants, lions and even the rare black rhino, and a full day excursion along the coast, with its dunes, shipwrecks and noisy colonies of Cape fur seals.

Day 14: Skeleton Coast - Cape Town, South Africa

Fly by light aircraft to Windhoek with an onward flight to Cape Town. Arrival transfer to your luxury hotel, set in the heart of the Victoria & Alfred waterfront, with exceptional views of Table Mountain.

Day 15: Cape Town

This morning head off for an ascent by aerial cableway up Cape Town’s iconic Table Mountain (weather permitting). This afternoon is at leisure to relax at the hotel, explore the waterfront or venture further afield.

Day 16: Cape Town

Journey beyond the city for a day to explore the famous Cape Winelands where picturesque vineyards are set against imposing granite peaks and eye-catching Cape Dutch homesteads nestle under avenues of oaks. Stellenbosch is the centre of the local wine making industry and is surrounded by hundreds of vineyards. You’ll have the chance to visit some privately-owned wineries, which date back hundreds of years, and enjoy a variety of tastings.

Day 17: Cape Town

Venture south along the Atlantic coast road past the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, located at the base of the towering Twelve Apostles. Descend into Hout Bay valley, with its bustling fishing harbour and white sand beach and on to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at the end of the Cape Peninsula. Look out for whales and sea birds from the viewing point. On your return visit Boulders, a lovely beach famous for its colony of endangered Jackass Penguins, before lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 18: Cape Town - Thornybush Game Reserve

Journey by air to Hoedspruit and on to your exclusive new safari lodge where stunning interiors cleverly balance colour and playfulness with serious style. While contemporary African art hangs on the walls, the place feels rustic yet homely.

Day 19-20: Thornybush Game Reserve

Spend the two days enjoying exceptional game viewing and excellent chances of sighting Africa’s iconic species including lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, elephant, and much more. Close wildlife encounters in the vast Greater Kruger National Park are guaranteed and the personalised service is second to none. Game viewing, by open vehicle or on foot, is tailored to each guest. Royal Malewane is privileged to have the only surviving Master Tracker currently working in Southern Africa.
