Day 2: Saturday, 26th June 2021 Melbourne

After breakfast, meet Kenneth in the lobby for an experience to remember on Kenneth’s bespoke ‘Bearbrass and Bluestone’ tour. Kenneth, a museum and art curator by profession, who is a widely travelled and sought-after speaker and lecturer in archives, fine arts, architecture, social history, cultural tourism, travel and museum studies will introduce you to Melbourne and all its secrets.

Take in the cultural and historic landmarks of the city including the Shrine of Remembrance, Queen Victoria Market and the arts and sporting precincts. Wander through iconic landmark buildings like the Block Arcade with its dazzlingly high Victorian interior decoration or other truly grand 19th and 20th century commercial buildings. You will see the hand of progress as you encounter buildings that have been renewed and transformed like the State Library of Victoria with its magnificent domed reading room.

Meander through the city's fascinating labyrinth of atmospheric arcades and alleyways, home to buzzing cafés, eclectic boutiques and eye-catching street art, enjoying a coffee along the way. Afterwards, you are accompanied to a stunning private art gallery in the heart of South Yarra where owners David and Yuge Bromley, the creative team behind Bromley & Co, have lovingly transformed an 1890s hotel and shopping arcade, into a home for work and play. Enjoy an exclusive tour with the curator followed by a 3-course lunch with wine in a spectacular private dining space on the premises.

This afternoon, visit Justin Art House Museum (JAHM) for an exclusive tour of the private collection. JAHM is an initiative of Charles and Leah Justin, who are passionate collectors of contemporary art. Through their house museum experience in the edgy Prahran neighbourhood, they share both their collection and their passion for art, architecture, design and food with their guests, and build a sense of community in the process. Enjoy a tour of the exhibition conducted by Charles and Leah, after which you are invited to their apartment for afternoon tea with time to converse about the current exhibition, their passion for art collecting and what inspires them.

Return to your hotel for drinks and a farewell 3-course dinner at the Park Lounge taking in sweeping views of the Melbourne skyline as the sun sets. After dinner, head downstairs to Radii where you are treated to a private jazz performance by one of Melbourne’s premier jazz bands with cocktails.
