Richard McColl has been living in Latin America for the past 16 years working as a Foreign Correspondent, guide and journalist. An expert on all things Colombian, Richard has his own weekly radio programme focusing on current affairs in the country. An accomplished travel writer, He penned the Bradt Guide to Colombia and was a contributing editor for ‘Was Gabo an Irishman?’, a collection of essays from writers who have been inspired by the works of Colombia’s native son, Gabriel García Márquez. Living in Bogotá and working on a doctorate, his interests include contemporary history, politics and the natural world.
