Day 1: Arrive Auckland, New Zealand

Arrive in Auckland, where you are met and transferred to your luxurious hotel. Tonight meet your Resident Tour Director celebrate your arrival in New Zealand with dinner and drink at the Park Hyatt’s signature waterfront restaurant, Onemata.

Day 2: Auckland | Splendours of the Hauraki Gulf

Board a local ferry to Waiheke Island for a guided walk through the awe-inspiring Connell’s Bay Sculpture Garden led by its owners, viewing distinctive works scattered over rolling farmland while soaking up views of the Hauraki Gulf. Sit down to a three-course lunch with wine before an afternoon visit to an award-winning olive oil mill, followed by visits to boutique vineyards. Treats may include oysters straight from Te Matuku Bay, wild honey, artisan cheeses and the renowned local green herb spread. Return to Auckland for an evening at leisure.

Day 3: Hawke’s Bay | Art Deco Architecture & Private Wine Tastings

Fly by privately chartered air to Napier, located in the Hawke’s Bay region of the North Island. Once there, set out on a city tour that includes a meeting with a local artist and time enjoyed wandering among Napier’s collection of Art Deco buildings. Spend the afternoon with lunch and wine tastings. Proceed to your luxury lodge set atop rugged cliffs above the sea. Tonight, gather for drinks followed by dinner.

Days 4–5: Hawke’s Bay | Dramatic Coastal Views and Gannets

At Cape Kidnappers, set out on a privately guided tour of the largest mainland colony of gannets in the world, to watch up to 25,000 of these fascinating sea birds swoop, dive for fish and tend their chicks. The rest of your stay is entirely at your leisure to relax or, for an additional cost, play a round of golf, explore the farm on horseback, take an off-road adventure and many other activities available at the lodge.

Day 6: Dunedin | Exclusive Castle Garden Visit

Board your privately chartered flight for Dunedin in the South Island. On arrival, transfer to Larnach Castle, situated on the picturesque Otago Peninsula. Upon arrival, meet with Margaret Barker, who purchased the estate with her husband in 1967 and lovingly restored it from a near ruin. Join her to privately explore the castle and its award-winning gardens. Then, enjoy lunch in the Garden Marquee before proceeding to your hotel.

Day 7: Dunedin | Wildlife of Otago

Privately explore the Otago Peninsula, a wilderness region brimming with wildlife. Begin with a guided walk through a wetland forest, on the lookout for the many resident bird species. Following lunch, embark on a privately chartered cruise along the ruggedly beautiful coastline near the entrance to Otago Harbour. View the world’s only mainland colony of royal albatross and venture up-close to rocky outcrops to see fur seals living below the Taiaroa Head lighthouse. Then, cruise a short way out into the Pacific Ocean where you may spot rarely seen ocean birds such as blue penguins and marine mammals like the dusky dolphin. Tonight, enjoy a special private dining experience at the historic home of an early 20th-century merchant family.

Day 8: Queenstown | Meet a Renowned Artist at Home

Fly to Queenstown, taking in aerial views of Stewart Island and Fiordland National Park en route. On arrival, privately tour the city’s best sights, including AJ Hackett Kawarau Bridge — famous for bungee jumping — as well as historic Arrowtown before a private visit to the studio gallery of world-renowned local artist, Thomas Brown, in an historic converted Cheese Factory. Check into your hotel later today.

Day 9: Queenstown | Marvels of Milford Sound by Helicopter

Lift off by helicopter for an exhilarating flight over Milford Sound, viewing the stunning landscapes from above. You’ll hover over rainforest, lakes, rivers, waterfalls and fjords before landing on a remote glacier to marvel at an area seldom seen by humans. Continue your flight across the top of Lake Te Anau before landing for lunch and then a return to Queenstown.

Day 10: Queenstown | Design Your Day

A choice to make today on how you want to experience Queenstown and its surrounding wilderness.

Take a 4WD tour of Skippers Canyon, a deep gorge set amongst the glacial-carved peaks of Queenstown's high country. The canyon was carved by the Shotover River, made famous by the 1860's gold rush. Follow the winding road, considered one of the most adventurous in the world, down into the canyon. After your rugged exploration, return to your hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure.

Or take an exhilarating jetboat experience on the Dart River deep in the heart of the world-renowned Mt Aspiring National Park. Experience breathtaking scenery as you follow the glacier-fed rivers by jet boat with exciting 360 degree spins along the way. You also head ashore for a walk amongst the ancient beech tree forests – something you may recognise from The Lord of the Rings films.

Or pedal your way by e-bike to the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown where you follow the Arrow River Trail downstream to the Kawarau River on the old miners trail crossing suspension bridges including Kawarau, home of the world’s first Bungy jump. Finish your ride with a relaxed wine tasting at Gibbston Valley Winery, before returning to Queenstown for lunch and the afternoon at leisure.

This evening, celebrate the conclusion of your journey with a three-course farewell dinner paired with some of New Zealand’s finest wines.
