You’ll marvel at the extraordinary Victoria Falls and the huge herds of elephants in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. Cap it all off with unforgettable game viewing in the Okavango Delta, where you stay in an intimate tented camp set on an idyllic lagoon.

Journey Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg, South Africa.

Days 2-4: Sabi Sand Game Reserve

Morning flight to Sabi Sand where your secluded new lodge is ideally positioned on a bend of the Sand River. Game viewing here is amongst the world’s best, and this afternoon you’ll head out on a game drive. Enjoy two days of exceptional game viewing in the Sabi Sand, with morning and late afternoon game drives as well as guided walks, bird watching and community visits.

Days 5-7: Livingstone, Zambia

Depart on a light aircraft transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport where you connect with the onward flight to Livingstone. Here you are met and transferred to the chic and luxurious hideaway Thorntree River Lodge, set in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. The next two days are yours to visit both the Zambian and Zimbabwe sides of the Victoria Falls. Activities include a walking tour of both sides of the falls, rhino trekking on foot, and game drives in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, cultural village visits, high tea at Victoria Falls Hotel, sunset river cruises, canoeing trips, sundowners, nature walks and a visit to the nearby Livingstone Museum.

Days 8-9: Linyanti Reserve, Botswana

This morning, transfer to Livingstone Airport for a light aircraft transfer to Kasane in northern Botswana, and an onward flight to Kings Pool Camp, consisting of nine luxurious, spacious tents raised off the ground to take advantage of the dramatic views of Osprey Lagoon. Spend a full day in the Linyanti, which borders the western boundary of Chobe National Park. Thanks to its location close to the source of the Savute Channel and between two elephant ‘corridors’, there is abundant wildlife - some of the best in northern Botswana. Activities here include game drives, nature walks, boat trips, birding and fishing (seasonal).

Days 10-12: Okavango Delta

Fly to the Okavango Delta and the spectacular, reimagined Jao Camp, set amongst islands fringed with riverine forests and vast, floodplains with prolific wildlife. Familiarise yourself with this magical place on morning, afternoon and night game drives, traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) rides through the reed-lined channels and bush picnics. The wildlife in this area is plentiful with big game and small to delight. You might even consider a romantic sleep-out during your stay at the raised hide where wildlife comings and goings can be observed close-up.

Day 13: Depart Maun

Depart Okavango on a light aircraft flight to Maun where your safari ends.
