Global travel company Abercrombie & Kent has launched an exclusive hosted journey to Yunnan and Tibet in April 2016. An intimate group of just 24 will be joined by A&K’s leading China escort, Nancy Huo, on an intriguing 11 day exploration taking guests from the ‘Land South of the Clouds’ to the ‘Roof of the World’.

Yunnan in spring delivers breathtaking alpine scenery and blooms aplenty while the stark landscapes of Tibet are coloured by ornate prayer wheels, flags and brightly dressed locals. Combining natural wonders with cultural discovery, guests are introduced to the delights of Lijiang, a World Heritage site of cobbled streets and wooden bridges, and the meadows of nearby Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. There are visits to traditional Naxi villages, ancient Buddhist monasteries and temples and the impressive Tiger Leaping Gorge. In Tibet the focus is on monasteries and forts in this remote and beautiful land with time to wander Lhasa’s old streets and bazaars.

Tour dates: 16-26 April 2016
Twin share per person: $8,995
Single supplement: $2,395
