The latest addition to A&K’s portfolio of hosted small group journeys is a fascinating 12-day journey through Madagascar led by renowned naturalist Dr Charlie Gardner.
The island nation and its extraordinary flora and fauna is covered in depth with a wildlife expert who knows the country inside out. Highlights include surprising landscapes and endemic wildlife including a wide variety of lemur in unique and fragile habitats, chameleons of all colours and sizes, dense rainforest, clear blue seas and white beaches, stately baobabs and ancestral tombs in the spiny forest.
Your host, Charlie, has worked as a scientific advisor for WWF, Madagascar National Parks and conservationists Blue Ventures. He is widely published, has appeared on wildlife documentaries and assisted with the filming of Sir David Attenborough’s BBC documentary ‘Madagascar’, a rare study of the diverse and curious wildlife that inhabits this incredible land.
Accommodation is varied from comfortable city hotel, to small bungalow-style digs, tented river camp and safari beach lodge. Each is handpicked, well located and the very best available. Group size limited to 18 guests.
