A journey to Antarctica is one of the world’s great adventures. It is an expedition to the harshest, driest and coldest region on the planet – the world’s most remote and final frontier. With A&K, the journeys are conducted in sublime style on board MV Le Boreal and MV Le Lyrial which each carry just 199 guests in spacious, designer comfort. With over 25 years of experience in polar cruising we hand pick your Expedition Team who will bring your adventure to life.

Cruise the Ayeyarwady

Flowing north to south through the heart of Myanmar, the Ayeyarwady River is the country’s spiritual and economic lifeblood. A cruise along this important waterway connects you to the famous cities of Mandalay and Bagan as you travel through rural areas, past small villages, admiring golden stupas dotting the landscape, fishermen and passing vessels. A&K’s all-suite ship Sanctuary Ananda was custom built for local conditions and is one of the finest vessels on the river. Carrying no more than 48 guests this luxe home afloat offers journeys of between 3 and 11 nights.

The Peruvian Amazon

The Amazon is one of the world’s great rivers and in Peru the Amazon basin covers around 60% of the entire country with an incredible biodiversity. The best way to experience it is on a cruise and luxury small ship Aria Amazon is our favourite. Focusing on the remote five million acre Pacaya Samiria reserve, the ship carries just 32 passengers with outstanding guides, extensive touring, gourmet cuisine and designer cabins. Activities include village visits, piranha fishing, bird and wildlife viewing and visits to conservation and sustainability projects.

Cruising the Yangzi

From its source in the mountains of Tibet, the Yangzi River flows a distance of 6,380km making it the third longest in the world. It is one of China’s most important transport routes, carrying enormous amounts of cargo and passengers year-round. For travellers the most impressive section is the Three Gorges comprising Qutang, Wu and Xiling Gorges which is the stretch covered by luxury cruise ship Sanctuary Yangzi Explorer. Setting the standard for cruising on the Yangzi, she offers the best way to explore the area in friendly and intimate surrounds with just 124 guests.

Japan and the Ryuku Islands

Japan and cruising don’t normally go together but for travellers seeking something entirely different, there’s a unique journey on board small ship l’Austral which island hops from Osaka through the East China Sea to the rarely visited Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan. The Ryukyu Island chain boasts coral reefs, black pearl cultivation, world class diving as well as breathtaking scenery and pristine wilderness. There are seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites spanning ancient forests, Buddhist temples and castles plus unique ports and secluded areas only accessible by small ship. A&K’s award-winning Expedition Team is with you from beginning to end.

Norweigan Fjords & Iceland

Extraordinary World Heritage sites, charming towns and villages, vertiginous cliff faces, dramatic waterfalls, soaring mountain vistas and nature unspoiled – that’s what A&K’s cruise tour in northern Europe encapsulates. Guests cruise on board Ponant’s Le Soléal from Oslo to Bergen before arriving in Iceland where all the highlights are delivered on an exclusive week long land programme. Guests travel from the charming and colourful capital Reykjavik to the remote south shore and the volcanoes, geysers and waterfalls of the Golden Circle region. Highlights include midnight sun cocktail celebrations, a super jeep adventure and an organic farm visit.
