Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Travel Information

As a result of the actions being taken by countries around the world to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Abercrombie & Kent Australia is unable to operate international journeys until further notice. We are however seeing Australian state borders begin to open and it is not too early to consider a domestic holiday within Australia or New Zealand and shortly between both countries.

Our Australian office remains open - albeit working remotely as outlined in the Operations Update below - to help guests to reschedule journeys.

If your travel plans have been affected, we will be in contact with you or your travel agent to discuss your international travel arrangements in the coming days. We are dealing with bookings in departure date order. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

We are offering a conditional 110% credit on postponed journeys

In light of the rapidly-changing situation, we are offering guests affected by the above the option of postponing their travel and leaving monies in house to be applied to a future booking. All monies left in house will be credited to the value of 110% of the booking value (i.e. 10% above the value of the booking with A&K).

This 110% postponement credit and other options will be explained to you and/or your travel professional when we are in contact to discuss your travel arrangements, with the options and conditions dependent on the specific journey, destination(s), travel style and departure date. For example, the postponement arrangements for some Small Group Journeys may entitle you to a 10% discount rather than a 110% credit.

Dear valued guest,

We’re here to serve you in the coming days and months.

The current circumstances surrounding the outbreak of Covid-19 are unique and ever-changing, and we continue to monitor developments closely.

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and our staff are always our first concern.

In addition to the changes in travel outlined above, the dynamic nature of the outbreak and the public health response in our region is requiring us to be nimble and flexible in how we provide our services and protect our guests and staff in our workplaces. With this in mind, we have decided to implement 'working from home’ arrangements.

From today, the A&K offices in Australia and New Zealand will remain open, but with our workforce working remotely.

To continue to provide the high levels of service that you have come to expect from A&K, our travel specialists are set up at home as if they were in the office and are available by phone and email. We are ready to discuss your current travel arrangements and your future travel plans, for this year and next.
