Little Chem Chem, Tarangire National Park

The beauty of the 6 safari-style tents is in their simplicity. There is no excess, only luxurious necessity, each hosting a large bedroom and ensuite, a rocking chair to gaze across the plains and a study desk to memorialise your incredible journey.

Little Chem Chem – also known as “sunrise camp” - offers the raw drama of the East African bush set in private luxury. This camp, on a 16 000ha exclusive concession, adjoins the Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobabs, and overlooks the serene Lake Burunge.

The beauty of the six safari-style tents is in their simplicity. There is no excess, only luxurious necessity, each hosting a large bedroom and en suite, a rocking chair to gaze across the plains and a study desk to memorialise your incredible journey.

Relax in the lounge tent for a lazy afternoon, immersing yourself in the wonders of the surrounding African wilderness, or browse through the boutique camp shop. Enjoy à la carte meals in the dining tent, or savour picnics under the baobab for the full wilderness experience.

Unfenced territory sees some of Africa’s iconic species move through the camp freely, you could enjoy breakfast with an elephant, or gaze out of your tent and lock eyes with a zebra.

Game drives in open-air safari vehicles will leave you awe-struck; watch cheetah sprint across the savannah, observe elephant herds on the move, feel a thrill at the rare sight of tree-climbing lions.
