Luxembourg

Small in size but big on culture, heritage and wonderful wine, the compact country of Luxembourg has much to offer.

With its stunning valley location and UNESCO-listed centre, the capital – Luxembourg City – is one of the most beautiful in Europe.

With a notable wine district and impressive number of Michelin-starred restaurants to explore, gastronomes will be in heaven. Outside of Luxembourg City, the craggy, forested hills and myriad streams which make up Luxembourg’s two large natural parks make a spectacular setting for walks, bike rides, and ever an exploration by canoe.

When to Go

High travel season in Luxembourg extends from approximately mid-April to mid-October. The peak of the tourist season is in July and August, when the weather is at its finest. If you prefer shoulder- or off-season travel, you'll find the Grand Duchy every bit as attractive during those months. Not only are hotels and restaurants cheaper, less crowded, and more relaxed during this time, but culture fans will rejoice as the theatre season is most active during winter months in Luxembourg City.
