When to Go

Because Brazil is an expansive country, temperatures vary from north to south depending on the season. Avid surfers will enjoy sensational waves along the south coast between June and October, and nature enthusiasts eager to pay a visit to Iguassu Falls should plan to travel between September and May. The world-famous Carnival takes place 40 days before Easter each year; to take part in the festivities, travel between February and March.
