With the spectacular backdrop of the Caucasus Mountains, Rooms Hotel, formerly an austere Soviet-era resort, has been rejuvenated and cleverly clad in timber with interiors that feel distinctly Nordic.  Timber floors and furnishings throughout are reclaimed from derelict buildings in the west of the country and the eclectic public areas are warm and welcoming.  The 155 rooms, designed with rustic minimalism, all have balconies and offer views over Mt Kazbek, and the Gergeti Trinity Church, or the surrounding forests and woodland. The terrace provides the perfect vantage point from which to take in the rugged surroundings, all year round, and the indoor heated pool and wellness centre provide a relaxing diversion.
