Journey by road to Tarangire National Park — home to humongous wild elephant herds and other iconic African wildlife — for a full-day family safari and a picnic lunch. Enjoy a full day on safari with a variety of activities for every age. You’ll have your own private family vehicle with views from every angle. Keep your eyes peeled for impala, eland, buffalo, giraffe, Bohor reedbuck, Coke’s hartebeest, Thompson’s gazelle, and on rare occasions, the fringe-eared oryx. You will also spot wildebeest, zebra, leopard, lion, hyena, and cheetah.

Today you’ll journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands, stopping enroute at a colourful local market and town. Cruise through the narrow tracks of the village of Mto wa Mbu just like a local in a tuk tuk (rickshaw), discovering how the locals grow their crops, build their houses and even brew their beer. After a delicious local lunch, continue to the Manyara Treetop Walkway for a sky-high adventure through the beautiful forest of Lake Manyara. Explore life in the canopy among butterflies, monkeys and birds, while your guide beguiles you with stories of the forest. Arrive at spectacular Gibbs Farm, which covers 80 acres on the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. Settle into your rustic-yet-luxurious cottage, the perfect retreat for families of all shapes and sizes.

Awaken to the sound of bird call and a delicious organic farm-to-table breakfast. With your expert guide at the helm, venture into the jewel-green forests and plains of the Ngorongoro Crater, home to a dazzling abundance of wildlife. Keep your camera and binoculars close for Africa’s iconic five, including wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, waterbuck, bushbuck, black rhino, the majestic black-maned lion, leopard, hippo and flamingo. On return to your lodge stop at a traditional Maasai village for a fascinating encounter with the vibrant tribe.

Spend a full day relaxing on the farm, with the freedom to explore 32 acres of sprawling land. There is a host of things to do for the whole family, from milking cows to collecting eggs, cooling off in the pool, painting with the resident artist, or exploring the coffee fields. Avid bird-lovers are encouraged to join the resident naturalist to observe over 200 species of bird. Perhaps, join in the banter as the farmhands go about their daily harvesting ritual. If you’re feeling active, take a pushbike through the local village or around the mountain range. And don’t forget to indulge generous helpings of scones with cream during afternoon tea in the garden.
