Day 5: Chyulu Hills National Park - Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.

Transfer for the flight northwards via Nairobi to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy where you are met and transferred to the stylish Lewa Wilderness Lodge, where antiques and handmade furniture give each of the lodge’s nine exclusive thatched cottages the rustic charm and character of a ranch homestead. Later head out on your first game drive. The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy comprises 48,000 acres of privately owned land plus 14,000 acres of national forest. The reserve supports over 440 species of birds and more than 70 different mammals including lion, leopard, zebra, cheetah, elephant and a significant rhino population.

Day 8: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy – Naboisho Conservancy, Masai Mara.

Fly south to the private and exclusive 50,000 acre Naboisho Conservancy, the second largest in the greater Masai Mara region, where Mara Nyika Camp is your home for the next three days. Naboisho Conservancy has one of the highest lion densities in the world and, of course, such a healthy lion population would not be possible without an equally healthy food chain below it. The conservancy boasts impressive herds of elephant, giraffe, wildebeest and zebra as well as the rare African wild dog. In addition to the abundance of resident game, the Mara Naboisho Conservancy also serves as a migration corridor for several hundred thousand animals between the Masai Mara National Reserve and the Loita Plains to the east.

Days 9-10: Naboisho Conservancy, Masai Mara.

Spend the next two days on safari with thrilling morning and late afternoon/night game viewing drives in an open 4x4 vehicle. No two days are the same on safari. Wildlife viewing often starts at sunrise, returning to camp for a late breakfast and departing again in the mid-afternoon after tea before returning just after sunset. However, if you prefer to make a day of it your guide will arrange for a packed breakfast, lunch and beverages to be taken along for an extended safari experience. Your stay at Mara Nyika includes a game drive into the famous Masai Mara Reserve.
