On arrival into Cairns, make your way via the spectacularly scenic Captain Cook Highway to Silky Oaks Lodge, located on the banks of the gently flowing Mossman River. Today your guide accompanies you on a private exploration of the Daintree Rainforest, dramatic Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. Walk through tree-clad mountains to the spell-blinding beauty of the Mossman Gorge, hearing secrets of the enchanting rainforest and its unique indigenous wildlife and ecosystem.

Take a swim if you wish before journeying on to the Daintree River, home to hundreds of large vivid cassowaries and saltwater crocodiles. Cross the river by ferry to Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef, and enjoy a sumptuous lunch at the Daintree Heritage Lodge.

Delight in an afternoon sugar hit at the Daintree Ice Cream Factory before continuing to the foothills of Mount Alexandra and the Jindalba boardwalk. Listen as your guide imparts expert knowledge of the million-year evolution of the lowland forest – a living museum of rare flora and fauna.

Awake to fresh oxygen and a delectable breakfast, before making your way to Cairns Airport for your flight to remote and exclusive Lizard Island. On arrival you’ll be welcomed by your friendly host and transferred to your room, hugged by lush and tropical gardens, with serene meandering pathways to beautiful Anchor Bay beach.

Once settled in, curate the next three days as you please (bookings for some activities essential). Choose from spectacular snorkelling in crystal-clear waters, beautiful nature walks through pristine mangroves, and picnics on deserted beaches.
